What to think about when choosing bus hire for your wedding day

Blog

On your wedding day, there are plenty of things that need to be planned to the last detail for you to be sure you get the wedding of your dreams. Transportation is an issue that might seem like it's disconnected from the wedding itself, but it's a crucial part of your day to make sure that everybody gets where they're supposed to be on time. One way to make sure that all of your guests are where they're supposed to be, when they're supposed to be there, is to consider bus hire as an option for transportation. To make sure this is something you won't have to worry about when it comes to your big day, there are a few things you should think about.

Don't try to save too much

One great advantage of opting for bus hire for your wedding transportation needs is the price. In comparison with other options, like hiring taxis or limos to transport your guests, it's much cheaper. Try and not cut back on the cheaper price you're already paying for hiring a bus by making things complicated throughout the day. Hire the bus for the entire day, even if you just need to have your guests transported two or three times. It might be a bit more expensive, but you ensure you get the service you need. Otherwise, the bus might have another customer in between your booked transportations and run late to your second transportation.

Plan pick up and drop off

Plan ahead and map all the pick up and drop off spots by the places you need transportation to and from. A bus will have trouble getting into small parking areas and up narrow driveways. Try to choose a place along the pavement where the bus won't be in the way when picking up and dropping off. You also need to choose a spot where your family and friends can get on the bus and include this with the instructions given to your guests.

Put someone else in charge

When you're getting married, you don't want to be interrupted by having to answer questions and make arrangements with the bus driver. Make someone else responsible for handling the issue of transportation so that you can focus on your big day. Ideally, choose someone close to the planning of the wedding, like a bridesmaid, that will know all the plans that have been made regarding the wedding and won't have to bother you for details about addresses or time schedule. Make sure the bus hire company is aware that you won't personally be the one in contact with them during the big day.

Hi, my name is Lisa, and I have travelled by sea, rail and road. That in itself isn't unusual, but my travelling companion is – my dog. I have learned through my experiences everything you need to know about transporting a dog (or another animal). Want to learn how to calm your dog on the road? Want to learn how to convince a ticket agent to sell your pup a pass? Want to learn other tricks regarding transporting dogs and pets? Then, you have come to the right place. I love to write, but I love to help people and animals even more so I hope you find these posts useful.
